I have always wondered about and wanted to know some backstory for the immortals whom we supposedly follow. I know that there have been some other posts regarding immortals as far as their involvment in roleplay. However, I know that the staff is limited and too busy to make most of those ideas feesible. So I humbly suggest that we create some backstory for our gods and goddeses. This can be easily accomplished I believe, they can be player or staff created; or a combination of both. Even if it was inserted simply via a help file, I believe it would add more substance for players to roleplay off of. I know for myself if I knew more about the Gods and Goddesses I serve I would be more willing to commence roleplays involving them. It is pretty simple stuff, how did they become immortal? Are they born dieties or are they mortals who achieved godhood? What pleases or displeases them, beyond titheing and doing good stuf for a good diety and evil stuff for an evil diety? Who are they? What are their personalities like? Do they have personality quirks? I think you get the point. All player created God back stories would obviously be approved by staff. Also, like I said this wouldn't require any coding it could be implemented, at least at first, simply as help files. I would love to type help Kyelai and find a story about my chosen goddess.
Enough said for me at the moment I was simply curious as to whether this interests anyone else. Reply if you are or send me a message. Also, I will message some backstory ideas to Myrrima to start things off. If this is well received that is.

Well... there's the old History of the Gods book in the library.

Just type 'look list' in the room. Each topic is viewed by typing 'look (index number).'

That is a start, I never knew that existed actually, but I want something deeper. I want to know about them. Not just where they came from, although that is nice to know. I want to know what drives them now. What are their personalities like. What makes them smile? What makes them angry, sad, excited? I want something more, something deeper. I would be thrilled to type help (insert Diety here) and find out more. Or, shoot walk into my temple and find a holy book of my order or faith or whatnot. To be able to pick it up and read it and find out, I don't know just more. To be able to learn more about who I am serving without having to have staff help. I think it would create an awesome platform for roleplay. Just thinking out loud, or thinking out type I suppose. (I know terrible joke) Thanks for the info levune, you are always great for that.

I just want to make our world grow and this is an area I want to start with. Who are our dieties, really?

Anymore tips or any other feedback?
