My fiance and I just had our first child. We'll get married sometime around the 18th of December, awesome stuff, that'll make one year aniversary. So anyways, yeah um, whoops, here, you're a dad. Actually it is quite the blessing and it makes we extremely happy to hold out little girl in my arms and just watch her. I can't wait 'til she can focuse and looks right into my eyes.

Lemme give some background info. Me, I'm old, but not as old as some. 25 that is. Fiance Shannon is 24. Her birthday is the 15th of October and mine is the 10th of October. Some college, no degree for both of us, though I have a few more years under my belt than she does. I met her one cold night last December '04. I was walking into my apt goofing around with my old roomate Andrew. (Aka Aerin on DL, that's right, he's a recruite.) So I had just bought a futon and we had put it up and I wanted to see what it looked like if someone walked into the apt with someone sitting on the futon. Again, we were both being sarcastic. So I opened the door and said something stupid i'm sure and heard a giggle from behing me. Turn around and there she is... love of my life, I just didn't know it yet. I told her we just got our first couch and Andrew hops up and yells he likes taco's! She laughed and that was that. Next morning I come out to go to work and find a note with the picture of a couch on it and open it and it says grats on the new couch. We met again a few weeks later and hit it off from the start. After a nice evening of movies and then a trip of hot cocoa from starbucks, our relationship rocketed into the great beyond blissfully.

So a year later we've got a kid here. She's currently at the hospital, baby is in the nursery getting googled at by anyone who walks by. I never thought my offspring would be so beautiful. She was born November 28th at 8:40 pm weighing in at 7 lbs 13.5 ounces and 20 inches long. She had a lil cone head full of hair. The cone has since gone down a considerable amount. She's so wonderful. I've got a few pics of everyone who's come around holding her. I'll try and get a pic online here sometime with me and my fiance and my new lil girl. Her name is Paige Ashley Turner. I already know the jokes about the name... "I'd like to read that book." "Let's see, where was I on this Paige?" I'm sure ya'll can come up with a few more, please do try, it'll be a good laugh at my child naming expense.

I hope a few of my new jobs really work out and I can get back to college and finish up. Who knows how much longer I've got. I changed majors my senior year from business admin to criminal justice. Failed at the criminal justice degree because it wasn't stimulating my mind, life problems, finanial issues etc... so now I think I'm gonna change back to business admin. Okay what else... oh. We should get out of the hospital Thursday the 1st of December and get to go home with out new bundle of joy. She's fairly quiet... and sadly, easy to please. I'll have to work on that for when she starts dating boys. She's breast feeding great and has a little bit of a stuffy nose, as do many of the other babies in the hospital. Shannons is doing great, she had to have a c-section because natural labor just didn't work out. I won't go into the private details about why it didn't work out, but you're welcome to ask me online if you really are that interested in knowing. I'll willingly share.

Much love to everyone. I'll be on this weekend as usual while at work. God bless.

Wow, gratz on the baby girl! :)
I have no idea what the feeling
is like to have something alive
that you created, but I bet it's mega good.
Also quietness is a good thing, less
sleepless nights for you.

Enjoy it. :)

Yeah, well... there is a horrible idea called "six weeks after giving birth". We're currently on the 3rd week so it looks like nadda for another 3 weeks. It's by far the worst idea ever. We should be married before that and even then it'll be the 5th week.

We're gonna hold off on any other children, heck, we weren't supposed to be able to ever have this one. Doctors really should check out this hole P.C.O.S. disease thing and telling women they can't get pregnant because I now know 3 women with P.C.O.S. that are pregnant or just had a kid and didn't really have any problems conceiving.
