Ok this idea is coming from something I was doing in RP. I decided to practice riding a mount while Role playing. All was going well when I suddenly encountered a slight issue I hadn’t given much though to before. I wanted to go to Rocksport and ride that large road between Rocksport and the inn north of town. The problem is I had to take the ship to get my mount there. Now here’s the true issue. If I had dismounted the horse he would have been lost between rooms due to the auto movement. At the same time from a role playing stand point it seems strange having to ride the mount the entire way there while riding a ship. Especially considering from an in game stand point of it taking several hours of sailing. Now don’t get me wrong but I wouldn’t put it past someone to be so attached to the mount not to leave it for anything. But my character would have liked to go and look out at sea while they traveled. This same issue tends to apply to charmed non player characters as well. If the monster is your follower though magic or other wise then it would make sense for it once it enters the boat or other such vehicle to continue along with you not just stay stuck in one room.

That's an interesting problem. It's setup the way that it is so that NPCs can "swim" in (auto-move) rivers and not be effected (as an example). Also, so that bunches of NPCs don't get "stuck" at the end of a river. This does probably need to be revisited, I've added in my notes to take a look and see if there is any fairly quick fixes.

Thanks for the thought.

Best regards,
