Heather and I just found out last night that the baby brewing in her belly is a girl! She's due on July 25th and even though we won't give her a definite name until she's born, the name we've come to love the most is Loralei (pronounced "laura lie"). It's a more off-beat name but that's part of its allure for us.

About a month ago I sat down at my easel with a palette, a half-dozen or so tubes of oil, two brushes, and a canvas and a picture in my mind. I was going to paint something to hang above my new child's crib. This is the product of that evening:

How trippy is this, my wifes up the duff as well, and we have the same due date as you... and its also a girl!
Hope she brings you as much joy as our first one has to us (now 16 months if you can believe it), so excited for ya.

Wish I had more spare time to get on and catch up, will see if life settles back down again anytime soon.
