I wish something would happen, and we'd get a bunch of people... The MUD community has changed dramatically lately, much like the weather we've been having in the States. Looking at Top Mud Sites, a review hasn't been written by any person for any MUD in a little over three months.

Bottom line is, I miss Distant Lands.

It might the fact that TMS is now owned by one of
the owners of the mud in the top two on there.
Just a little conflict of interest, but who knows.

I believe they had problems with bots spamming reviews and so they locked it on the last valid reviews that had up until they can rewrite their system.

Incidentally, we HAVE been growing slowly be surely since we started pushing the voting again. This can be witnessed by going to:

Scroll all the way down and look at the bottom graph to get an idea of average growth over the last 6 months or so, the left hand side is now.

Of particular interest is the spike between August and September -- that was the DLDS. It was right after we started asking people to vote.

We are growing, we just need to continue to make sure people know about Distant Lands, one of the best ways to do that is go vote!
