Encumbrance is a problem. However, it is incredibly easily solved. Builders! Put small pouches and bags in your noob zones! Make them spawn at random on any mob that can spawn random loot, so that they can load in any zone (if that's possible). This is the only game in which I have had to deal with encumbrance as a huge issue. I really want to dual wield those two swords, or practice with my staff now and then, or hang onto that huge axe for the right moment, but not at the price of looting anything new and awesome (which most of the time is a diamond that I can't seem to grab because everywhere else is full? How does that make sense? I mean, where, in essence, am I storing that HUGE axe anyway?)

Seriously, bags should not be an issue. Containers of ANY kind are extremely rare, if not already maxed because older players saw this as a future problem, and instead of trying to fix it with the handy dandy idea forum, they simply hoarded every container they could and no doubt have them lying in an inventory or a house somewhere collecting digital dust. Meanwhile the little guys have so much trouble keeping things in order under the knowledge that gaining a new item sacrifices another. Plus this ultimately leads to new characters getting discouraged and quitting.

I have to agree with this. This has probably een one of the hardest concepts of the game to understand. I mean don't get me wrong figuring alot of it out without help is a little hard to say the least. But the encumberance is a problem, and does deter some away from playing I am sure. I haev had help along the way, and been given some good containers by some great players, but that won't happen for everyone. So I think in order to lessen the burden a little on a noob the encumberance needs to be looked at, perhaps a set encumberance until a certain lvl. A noob encumberance or something along that line, give them time to figure out gear and what they will need and how containers work. Just a though...

I like Trogan's idea, but I think we also need some more containers put into the game (I know, I know, I shouldn't be preaching, I should be doing.)

So i'm tired of writing my idea's in a new forum every other week. So let me just quit comiserating with you all and be one of the few who talks back to everyone.

Screw you all and you whinny encumbrance issues.
Look, there are a million and one containers out there, hell there not bags of holding. But seriously don't tell me if you had one you would put bag bag, if you dare had two.
I know none of you truely give a rats butt about someone elses encumbrance. Rhino's! I never see any of you just hand your bags over unless it's a friend. Hey there that level one, oh yeah here ya go a nice new bag of holding.


I play all my characters over 50enc, I'll keep leveling till this message says you're already carrying as much as you can carry.
I built a house, and I share it with as many as I possibly can.

In the end. I still fall of my hourse when I charge. I dust myself off kick the dim-with in the shins, and try for the next one.

My deal being, you'd all like to carry multiple suits of crap around. I like to carry a multitude of weaponry around. I pay my price, i live with it, and I stick it to the MOBS and you most every day of the week.

Get use to it, or get over it. I tried to state hey the little ones could benifit from a bag on a post just below this one in idea boxes. It didn't go over so well. So basically. Lock'n'load, and rock'n'roll or sit at the fountain with a high encumbrance complaining about how hard it is to kill something with 42 encumbrance. . .

besides all of you lost interest in playing anymore. the only time we ever peeked 20 players was when Dreylor killed himself. good man
