Just a random thought, but after seeing people with four five and six duplicates of items today I coulden't help but comment to my self. Why not add a simple flag to items making it impossible to have more then 2 items per player or what ever number is defined in the flag via the item editor. It would be a simple way to cut down on the over stock people seem to be collecting.

There is currently code in place that does what you describe - as far as I'm aware, it's currently limited to keys. If you have a key that opens up, say, Anna's castle, and try to pick up a second copy of it, then you will get a message basically telling you that you can't.

The code for keys was put into place to prevent people from essentially locking others out of different areas. Too frequently, players were complaining that some beefy player got all of the keys for a certain door. While I do agree that imposing some limitations as to how much of certain items (perhaps defined by their rarity?) can be carried, I do see problems sprouting up because of it. If you have "the super breastplate of invincibility" that seems to be not so invincible itself, and you try to repair your friend's, you'd get slapped with a big "DENIED!" message (that is, if you are only allowed to carry one.) Also, if you're trying to load some items for a friend, your guild or even total strangers, if there are carry limitations imposed on certain items, I can see where it would become a pain.

I like your thinking, though. We need more ideas! Bring 'em on!

Take away the inventory, people have two hands, the rest should be worn.

Although realistically yes a player only has two hands it would not work real well to take away inventory. The player needs to eat and drink, perhaps hold a light, their weapon as well as a few other items that come to mind. I agree perhaps a limit to how many of each item a player can have would be benificial. Food for thought as if Nezmar doesn't have enough to tink about :)
