Would like to take a second to suggest the creation of thrown weapons usage. I find a weapon reaching further than a rooms distance to be unequal, after all a mage cannot release a fireball to adjacent rooms, and really shouldn't be able to. For the fact that any particular rooms contains a vast amount of space. Thus a thrown weaponry usage can be added in this instance. Create a hidden wield slot unavaliable to the look command when you glance at a particular player. The player must have one of their hands free in order to use this skill. Allow this hidden inventory to contain a multiple of one to five slots. Activations would work like, Throw item target Thus a a new saving roll would need to be used to calculate the accuracy on this move. The time spent in doing so should depend upon the weapon type and should be equal for every different item in that particular type and only different on the varient from one type to the next.
Why should this function exist we ask? Isn't combat perfect enough with all the skills. Well I'm a ninja, and I'm picky. Being a skilled fighter is just part of my essential neccesities. And having this minor capability would be very enjoyable.
Allow these thrown weapons to be poisoned thus creating a secondary usage other than infliction, they can be a delivery method for us poison folks to the players and mobiles with barrier spells like blade barrier and fireshield. If the particular pc/npc isn't able to see a hidden or invisble character this this shouldn't initiate combat rather be a side sect.
I'll even go as far as maybe allowing a thrown weapon to be hurled from the ground into the skies, or visa versa. But this sort of usage should be a non targeting type as weapons can already be dropped from above and hurl themselves with gravity to the floor below...
Not sure entirely on all the details this is just something I wanted to discuss. Thrown projectiles is a very fascinating topic to me, so lets see what all the rest of you have to say about it.
