i know when you create a character, you pick some racial qualities like +1 to attribute or +1hp/level

couldnt we get new racial abilities as we level...like every 25 or 50 levels we pick a new one, maybe to spice up the idea of getting to a higher level and set us apart from other characters in our class...its just an idea and maybe even one that has been tossed in and tossed out just as quickly...

This is actually something Gydin and I have talked about IRL. Is an interesting thought, you do get some rewards for gaining levels i.e. new skills/spells/profs, increased regen rate as you get older, multi-classing eventually. I think if this idea was actually introduced it would be more like you develop a new attribute based on whatever your class is. Example: a cleric would get +1mana/level, a warrior +1hp/level etc... Couldn't really justify it as a racial since those are what are innate to your race when you are created. Unless we said that races develop new abilities as they age, which isn't unheard of. Is definitely something to kick around.

A thought on gaining new recials would always be nice. Once you get to a certain level, you have 100's of practice points that will never get used. I've always wondered is there some way we can turn in massive amounts (50 at a time, 100 at a time) and get something. I like the idea of 25/50 practice points for one mpp. (I really like 20 practice points per mpp, but that's probably too low.) You still have to be careful of course because you might actually run out of points between levels once you're pretty high.

Obtaining new racials at some point would be considerably nice, but may have some conflicts. I don't see buying 1hp per level for a 150 character being very beneficial. But maybe buying like a regen point, or a plus int or something. That could help, but again, we can do that with multipurpose points... up stats that is.

Trading in racials for those points and then picking something else might be nice. Example. I bought plus staves, which was great until now because I dual wield bladed weapons, gained through obtaining new class skills, with little thought of ever using a staff again. I could trade in plus staves for that amount of racial points and then redistribute them. I think it cost me 10 points for staves, so I'd get 10 points back that I could use of something else. I'd have to check, but I think I could buy plus mana regen, it would benefit me more than plus staves is. This could be a one time thing.
