I propose a listen command. This would enable us to listen through doors or listen to the north or south ext. when using the command only the player using it would hear anything if there is something to be heard.
Some thoughts of uses would be say there is a macro playing of a mother telling a bed time story to a child she is telling that story quietly so she can get the child to sleep. you happen to be in the room and type listen mother and can hear the story being told to the child. but if your not listening you wont hear a thing.
Another one is theres a locked door there is a general macro playing that if there is a mob in a room it makes noises (i.e. scuffling, clanking of armor, conversations between npc's,ext.) and with the listen command pc's could here them noises and decide weather they would like to see what it is or not.
There are probably allot of things and situations a listen command would be useful. I have mentioned this to nezmar and he said he would like to hear more thoughts from everyone on this but likes the idea of the command. S if you would kindly post your thoughts an ideas on this that would help allot on the coding end of the command, and on the building end of it to!
Were do I get these funny ideas? I know its not from my brain cause i fried that along time ago. If you have insight on this matter please let me know in game.....Thanks for your help and reading this topic.
Your friendly cleric,
Clea
