Just random food for thought, i'm sure you've thought of it on your own allready but here goes. The emote cocmmand is pretty limited, if we are in rp and want to do something that is also a game command, like drinking, or moving, we must make the emote and then do the act, so from a RP standpoint someone will see us do the same thing twice, two differant ways. If we were able to make an emote replace the normal command's emote it would make things more interesting.

Hope ya enjoy the food,

SKREGGS

Are you talking about like... oh I know. Gydin sits down slowly and places his weapon upon the ground... then I have to type rest. or sit, so I've done the action twice. Or. Gydin places his staff upon the ground to aid him in standing, then I have to type stand. Good idea if we can go through out commands and try to customize them a bit.

I've always wanted something like that. Most of the time I just try to base my emotes on actions that lead up to the command, like approaching a chair or pulling out a chair, then using the sit action.

With regard to putting it into the game, maybe a copy of the command 'emote' could be made as a new command, something like 'emc' for "command emote."

>emc sit pulls up a chair and sits down.

Levune pulls up a chair and sits down.

I only suggest a separate command because there are already parameters for the regular 'emote' command and some conflicts could arise. Now this opens up potential headaches if allowed for every kind of action command, but maybe this could be controlled by only allowing it to work a few specific actions, mainly movement related. It's also worth considering the weird things that would be allowable under this as well.

>emc south jumps to the east.

Levune jumps to the east.

Some useful deception right there.

Levune has it right on the dot. I like how that is set up. It's like our emotes that target our weapon. ^_^

Hrm...

How about a syntax kind of like this.

rest (with a grunt)

With a grunt, Jorlain sits down to relax.

Or something to that effect. It could work with just about any command.

drink skin (popping it open with his thumb)

Popping it open with his thumb, Jorlain drinks from a waterskin.

say (with a nod) I like that.

Jorlain says, with a nod, 'I like that.'

whisper Hanaisse (trying to keep a straight face) I think your bottom's getting a little flabby.

Jorlain whispers to Hanaisse, trying to keep a straight face, 'I think you bottom's getting a little flabby.'

I dunno. Food for thought.
