I'm all for an eq purge of everything. I think it'll be a ton of fun getting it all back for everyone, yes, even for Nusa and all you other 200's, and soon to be me. We've all got items that are hard to come by. There have been a few up and coming players who've returned and they're having a hard time getting some decent equipment that should be in the game but isn't because of gear that's not in use. I agree that my house is packed tight as well but I go there and sort through stuff from time to time, selling and giving it away. I look at people throughout the game and see what upgrades they might need. Often someone will ask a group for something and if I have it or something comparable, I retrieve it. If I can't use it, I store it if I know I'll be able to find someone who can, or I just give it away, sometimes even tithe it so someone else can get loot exp. I don't keep gear that someone can benefit from knowing they need it just so they won't be as strong as me. There's a few items that should be loading that I don't see any active players using and it makes me wonder. I try to be a team player and hope in the end it benefits me as well and so far that's worked out.

I would really like it if maybe everyone could keep 1 to 5 items per character. My list on Gydin would be, in order of personal importance:
1. Woven shirt of Gems
2. a pearly white belt engraved with silver runes
3. essence of holy vigor
4. a meteoric anklet
5. An amulet of all seeing drake eyes

These are based of course on difficulty to load, rarity, and what would be more beneficial if all eq was wiped out.

I'm kinda for houses going away too and having to have them rebuilt, but those are much harder to obtain than equipment and even more work for staffers, so maybe...Houses would stay in the game but you'd lose any containers not tied down, all equipment would purge. Your personal house key would remain or you could ask for it. All other items would go bye bye. I don't really have an opinion on gold staying. Maybe if everyone was set with 100k to start. I feel that we'd all continue to band together and load everyone their gear back at first rather than bicker over who gets what. The frequent players I see now work very well together and for the most part, everyone is sharing and happy to play. It would be a hard run, but I think we'd all have fun doing this and come out for the better. This option would be across the board, no exceptions. After a few months, there would be spare gear to hand back to folks that had extenuation circumstances anyways. I hope everyone will consider this and not be selfish. All those who play can benefit from this and those who rejoin and new players will as well.

Or, how about this... If there is an eq purge. Would you be more okay with it if you could receive 1-5 items you want, like a dream sequence? I know there's plenty of players that really want certain items and feel they'd never ever be able to get them maybe because they're one of a kind or maxed. I think this would be a fair option. I can think of a few items right off that I'd like to get my hands on.

Hmm.. that wouldnt be so terrible. But i mean, if your idea is to try to get the lower guys more of the gear, and get it away from inactive people and hoarders. It seems easier just to remove a maxx on good items. I understand people want to be unique and dont want everyone to have the same gear, but thats really the goal of leveling up. Everyone wants the best things, the higher ups already have it. If there was no maxx wouldnt be any fighting or hoarding of items since they can always get it again.

It's pointless to do an eq purge. The people who list eq will come back on for a month, gain it all back and go back to life.

How's about thinking of ways to get players back to playing?

An eq purge would just get people to stop coming back totally, instead of showing up to play for an hour or two every now and then.
