I realize everyone here has their own unique time-schedule, but has anyone ever tried to hold a planned event for everyone to participate in? Speaking from a gamer's standpoint; in my clan, we will frequently hold practices for the various games we play. It's just a chance to get as many people together as we can, to hop onto a server, and have some fun. If we could find a set time every week for a majority of players (and a few staffers) to come together, we could have events ranging from simply sitting around and talking about various ideas for the game, to a large group-rp (doesn't have to be a quest), or maybe a "newb night."

It's probably been thought up, but if I had a time written on my calendar as a dedicated "DL Night," I'd sure as heck show up!

I've actually tried running RPTs before (recommended playing time) and they had some small success for a while. Unfortunately, my time became consumed elsewhere and the trend didn't really take off with anyone but a few dedicated roleplayers (keep in mind, this was an RP RPT).

But, for sure. I totally dig RPTs from a staff and player standpoint.

Absolutely love doing those and would love to do more, but my time is mostly allocated already. With work, being a parent and full-time college (online, but still) my time is already spread pretty thin. The time I do get to devote to DL is usually spent working on the website, the DL2 Client or building.

Getting a good time for me is pretty hard to do and if that's managed, it's hit and miss. If my son demands my attention (i.e. wakes up) then you'll have a pretty unresponsive mob that was a chatterbox a minute ago

And that's perfectly understandable. I myself am getting closer to making the transition from student to employee (At least I hope to), and my playtime has been cut as a result. Like I said though, it didn't have to be an RP event. Just one set majority time that works for most people. If you show, you show.
