I'd like Grel to be in charge of this one, kinda partial to his evil handy-work. And I havn't gotten a good dose in some time of it.

And since it's hard to acquire is doings, lets just say I'm up for being killed on this one.
Upstairs it's always been a fancy to be the feast of a dozen or so young little dragon hatchlings way up in a nest. I mean seriously the mothers gotta take a joy fly some time and notice this little spec moving along a nearby pathway to the towns.
Mama swoops down, captures the pint-size meal and flies back to home to feed her loved ones.
Except, I'm hoping they play with their food rather than devour me whole in a few bites.

Kinda hoping for a few gouged eye-sockets here. couple of flesh wound appendages missing, and then lets have the final segments of Mahrah. But after it's all said and inflicted, lets add an after affect of halfling being gamey poisionous meat that they'll never want to taste again. Maybe some reguritated pieces of flesh while I'm still alive.
Dunno I'm gonna leave this one up the master of demise, if you find it fitting to pick this one up
shall we schedule a time and place to throw down.

I tried to figure out the scenario, basically it is "hit me, i love it", is it that please ?

In my humble opinion, and following what i saw till now from all the rp i've been in (weren't much i must admit) or the quests (much far less), this seems to be the same rp line, the evil toughy staff hitting the poor little mortal.

Why never think about a very funny scenario ? something you end rolling on the floor laughing ? (talking about the mortals of course)

Why should it be always a master/slave scenario ? a dominator/dominated ?

Why there couldn't be any puzzles ?

Saying so, i'm back-sit watching, and to enforce this post lemme try to give a scenario draft.


a soldier asks for your (or your group help), he doesn't know what happened, the trolls invaded the castle rathe (turned into non portallable), the king must be saved.

Walking towards the castle from rocky, you get 2 ambushes , some dumb goblins , 1 of them is a thief that flees with something (scenario tee).

The castle is invaded with trolls, your aim is reaching the king throne (might take some hours, no respawns), reaching the king throne , he asks you to seek the princes as well (2 are easy, the evil prince is far).

Reaching the last prince would be hard, he appears to be the one who commanded the invasion, back to king, he asks you to not to kill him, BUT to purify his soul.

Only one you have to go to is hadgar, you have to go to him/her, you'll be asked to bring a few items (3 would be very easy but "puzzly", like a ring that helps your moves, a dead jumpy and very heavy key, the fourth item would be the king sceptre).

Getting the 3 items, and going to the king to get his scepter he will totally refuse that, you have to check with what it is made of (a long golden tube, with a sapphire on top), you get the golden tube from any golden staff, they must figure that, and the sapphire from the rathes high mage (you dig your way to him, and figure that as well).

The mage is very weakened, and he says he lost the key to his chambers when he fought some of the big trolls around, he said that that troll regenerated fully after he was almost dying, he has no idea why, but the general who fought many before must know.

The majority of RP on DL is non violent because the Game Master staff is not allowed to plan any violent RPs whatsoever. When violence occurs it's the players lack of imagination and just deciding to kill instead of talk and bargain their way out.

That's not saying that upper staff (Quest Master and above) do not plan a violent RP or two occasionally, but we do try to keep the player deaths to a minimum.

In Avatar quests there are special requirements - To test several skill sets among the participants - Mental, social, knowledge of the lands, teamwork, devotion to your deity, and yes, battle skills. The ONE quest I ran that did not require killing I heard over half the participants complain about how "weak and lame" it was. Considering I put a great deal of time, thought and planning into it, yes, I thought, why bother again? But I will because I know those players are boneheads and just do *not* get the meaning and spirit of the game.

And if you haven't seen a lot of fun, challenging and humorous RP then perhaps you need to RP more. I have seen a lot of it, from both staff and mortal side.

RP is what you make it, choose your path.

So, you may of seen the scenario I asked for as hazerdous deathwish. On the other hand. A single nest in a dragon roost would not span the lenght of 1 room, rather it'd be a good atlead 3x3 cluster screw of omg why did I even request this.

Now lets pieces numbers, you like numbers don't you.
atleast I think this dragon could of had three hatchlings.
that's 9 rooms, 6 unoccupied
'and 3 crazzy hungry young ones.
now lots of thins could happen
that a 700 hp halfling would have issues with.
oh yeah 3 at once
flee push bash flee, push, flee, flee, heal, heal, fle, flee, heal.
Hrmm already my 9 rooms have had more combat skilty than your ambush of thieves.

shouldn't something that's only going to be 3 of have maybe oh
atleast 15 levels below me , and match my class or something considerably challanging.

I never said my life was easy, I never said it was practical.And mother dragon, well if I don't freak and try to escape early because the hatchlings are lovey-dovy on mom, maybe she won't catch my swift butt on the climb down the roost. I mean i hoped the grel would fashion some thing with some wicked traps and maze pathways that dead end.

I made my original message brief and short so that maybe I would get grel to do something like that.

I'd rather him agree to doing it than write a million details about what should happen.

You did kinda take aim at me though, sorry for the conflict. As for the natural neccesity of a deathwish. That dosn't make me lesser an individual in creativity. It's just my outlet of enjoyment.
