Ok, so this has been brought up by many players. Each have different opinions about the leveling system, i believe sylvar for one mentioned the ability to task up to 200. I feel that with the infrequency of quests, (not that i blame the staff for it at all) and the dwindling player base, the level cap (without questing) should be raised from 99 to something higher. Now what is the number players would like to see? Ill put a poll up,.

Please share feedback, and other things we can do to bring new life to the game.

Amazing idea. Everyone is bummed right now because the game is stagnant. I believe a lot of that has to do with players waiting to quest. I've got 3 peeps ready for 100 but that will take years because they each have to quest and each quest has to be something I haven't done before and Gydin has been quest ready for a while now.

Maybe if each has to be rp approved by 99 and when they reach it there is a certain rp task that Boolie or someone of importance offers for a lone player. Maybe a staff can bump them to 100 and allow for the normal gains of having to rp each level once over 100. I think the rp task would be good. But not all rp tasks can be performed in the same manner by people... Hrm, maybe if it was for 2 or more people. Then people who are quest ready can group up and complete this together. Within a certain level gap. Then you'd have to wait for another player(s) to get on and run the task with you. I think that would be a great deal of fun. Even if you can do the same task for each of your characters, it'll offer a slightly different rp for you because you have different skills and hopefully you rp each character unlike your others.

For level 200 and up... I feel it should be staff involved because those are epic levels to attain, I mean holy crap.

Different tasks for level 100,125,149, and 174. Each task would vary in required length and the task post for it could suggest what classes you might want to have on it and what level range it was for and an approximate time to complete.

Exa: Booli lost his mind.
Booli has invented an item to allow him to think clearly upon one task at a time but has lost it, or it was stolen. Question Booli about this and return it to him when you find it.
Required level: 99. Suggested class(s) to accompany: Healer, thief.
Approximate time to complete: 90 minutes.

This would of course require long hours of coding. I would be willing to help with this if given a low level staffer and some training on this. That of course also requires time.

I haven't thought fully to suggest how this task would operate. I'm sure coding could be taken from other mudds with mobs that answer back to certain questions. I tried a mudd for 2 days that recognized a certain combination of words to continue with the quest that I was talking to a mob about. Exa. Ask me about joining the thieves guild if you're interested. "Tell me about the thieves guild." Blah blah blah, Tell me to continue when you are ready. "Please, continue." Ask me to tell you about one of the following classes, Mugger, Assassin, Pickpocket. "Tell me about a mugger." etc etc etc. And the task moved forward. That doesn't seem too difficult to do since just about every other mudd out there has it. If you really got into it maybe there could be suggested comments to make to the mob you're talking to that would affect it's next line of responses and it's attitude towards you for the rest of the task. Even with these tasks if a staffer saw someone trying it, they could join in on the fun and take over a mob and try to hinder the completion of it.

Hrm.
Ask Booli to tell you about the lost trinket when you are ready to begin the task.
-Ask Booli Tell me about your lost trinket.
*Booli eyes you over briefly saying you alone may not be strong enough to obtain it.*
-Group all.
*Booli eyes everyone in the room. Frowning, Booli asks again if everyone is ready to hear his story.*
"Yes, we are all ready."
*Task accepted*
Booli says, "It was right here, right here!"............

And thus begins the fun.

I got it. Level 99 problem solved. It costs 10 mpp to rp special for level 100.

-Purchase quest level 100.-

*You purchased quest level 100 for 10 mpp and your rp timer was set to 120 minutes.*

Bam, problem solved. You now just spent 10 mpp, which means you've already done whatever was needed for you to obtain those mpp and you're now forced to rp for 2 more hours. Once your 2 hours is over, you gain level 100. Gratz and welcome to being a hero. This would be a quick fix for at least being able to gain 100 on all those lower level characters. I like it. At level 99 you cannot sell stat points for mpp, you have to be a hero far as I can tell. You could still obtain mpp through buying them, a few tasks have mpp as a reward, and of course, good ole hours of rp action. Oh, and if you rp crappy, staff has the option to push you back down to 99 and NOT give you any mpp back (or give you some for good things you did do) because you'll probably just sell stats for mpp once you're 100. I don't know when you can sell stats, I assume level 100. If so, that could be fixed by making it level 110, making it more difficult to get back those 10 mpp back you just lost because you did a crappy rp, an important rp that you should be making sure you stay in character for.

Well all of the players that were online right now, were able to talk to nezmar about this idea. He was very forthcoming about his time constraints, and basically laid it out for us that the option would either be remove the level cap all together, or change nothing. So those of you have already voted on the poll, please make a reply here if you would rather remove the level cap, or leave everything as is.

- My vote is for removal

By the time you read this, our policy should be changed. You can now level straight up to 300 without a quest or even roleplaying. Please note that this policy can (and very well may) be changed again in the future.

Best regards,

--Nezmar
