For the better part of my distant lands career, I have always played my drow elf druid, and then I got bored, and created my first human assassin. It was about a year and a half before the purge we had, and after that, there has been a place in my heart. They start out with perfect racials for an assassin, and humans are a really workable race, allowing a diverse roleplaying spectrum.

I remember long nights of grouping with old loading parties, assassinating random big things. When you do that, anyone in your group gives you words of encouragement, kind of a morale booster I would say. Circling in groups is the perfect asset to any group.

So, test your patience, because it's slow in the beginning... It takes a while to get your first few backstabs practiced to the point where they hit the majority of the time, but once they do, you're all set. Remember, assassins need a strong arm, quick thinking, even faster movement, and luck like none other.

You know, assassins are fun and all, but... Just...

Thieves are where it's at. Anyone that's played as long as we have can play an assassin. It takes a lot of cojones to be a thief.

Hmmm, I dunno. Human assassin is awesome. But I like Drow assassins too. Honestly though.. in the end. I don't think the race matters. I was a lizardman avatar assassin and when I had all the top notch assassin gear. I backed for the same amount as the next top assassin, no matter the race.

I like the non-human races for roleplaying.

Thieves were fun, but far more weaker. Once you reached avatar as an assassin, you'd get the same perks as a thief. Only draw back was..if i can remember....was PEEK. Once you get to avatar assassin, you're backstabbing much harder, attacks stronger and you can steal just as good.
