Eventhough a backstab includes a sneaking movement and a great concentration, upon that critical point, and putting all your ki in a single stab ripping the poor beast of a considerable amount of its vitality .. you do not loose 1 single movement point.

IMHO, backstab is technically a movement isn't ?

Spells don't cost moves either, but don't I make gestures etc? I don't think it should be a big problem with people that it doesn't take a movement. Most high level backstabbers kill with one hit anyways then go about their business.

well i think it is not the same thing.

Kicking and bashing might at most take 1 extra move, since yes true they are "moves" and are at least same as a hit.

Spells are mainly mind gymnastics, they penalise songs, mana or power already.

Backstabbing something means moving quitely behind it, adjusting your dagger or whatever and hitting with all your strength into that lethal point, that's not 1 move but many moves.

While taking much time to adjust your dagger, and stalking up behind your enemy, you realize that you're actually very relaxed, almost in a sedated state, knowing that you're going to make the ambush. You look for the right spot, just right to the spine, a very vulnerable spot where no rib lies. Taking one last final calculation, you make a small leap.

In all reality, a backstabber wouldn't exert that much energy stalking a foe to kill it. It's not like we're running from 100 feet to ambush them. We're mainly around three or four feet away, waiting for the right moment. I think maybe a movement point here with the lunge. You really use more energy standing up from the ground with your 100lbs of armor than you would moving five feet forward.
