Hi peoples. I play dl2 from a laptop and i know with Mushclient you can use the numpad to move around in the game. Because laptops dont have a numpad it means you have to type out the words to where you wanna go or use the letters and its not as fast.
Does anyone know of a client that allows you to setup or use the arrow keys to move around or something.
thanks
Ryan

The client I've used for years is zMUD, so that's what I'm most familiar with. The free version (3.62, I think) doesn't support macros I believe, and I can't get it working on my WinXP machine to find out.

The new version of zMUD does support macros, though. You can assign any key do do whatever you want, and it's really simple to set up. Downside of the new version of zMUD is that it's not free, but in my opinion, it's worth the cash.

There is a demo version of zMUD available so you can try it out and see if it's something you may be interested in buying.

Portal GT is also another you may consider looking into, though it is no longer a free program. There is a 30 day trial of that one as well.

Bottom line is that what you're looking for is a MUD client that supports macros (not to be confused with aliases) so you can assign keys to do different things. There's quite a few out there that support those features (see the Links page of this site for a small list of clients).

Hope this helps!

Hrm....i used Mush and Zmud also a bit Gmud....
I think i like Zmud, maybe because i am lazy to
change my client but actually it could do everything
that other client all could do.

Also the interface is easy and clearly.
So guys if you like have a try :D

Best Regards, Kyo
