Here's a series that I had read once a few years ago, but decided it was time to read again. The books are by Roger Zelazny, and is of a mixed genre. It's both science fiction and fantasy, in a way, and ranges anywhere from medieval times to present day.

The first five books are viewed through the character Corwin, while the second half of the series is shared by Merlin, Corwin's son.

There are ten books in all, but it's a lot cheaper to buy The Great Book of Amber, which includes all ten books.

Here's a link to the cheapest place I've found to buy it, and it also gives a bit more information, along with some readers' reviews.

It hurts to agree, but i will.

The book is decent, and fascinating.

If you liked the Amber series you will probably dig his other book, 'Lord of Light'
Or 'Interworld' by Neil Gaiman and some other chap.

Remembering Amber gives me the urge to run another throne war via email.
