I just registered for this. How do i start playing? when i go to the play now screen i can't type anything. what do i do?

Hello and welcome! When you click play now it opens up a telnet window. Telnet is a program used to connect to mud servers from most pcs. If the screen remains blank then you either don't have telnet installed (that would be weird unless you are on a MAC) or it is disabled. The easiest thing to do would be to dowload a mud-client. DL has a special client just for it which you cna find on the home page. Or you can google Zmud or mushclient. I am a little partial to mushlient because it is basically telnet which is what I learned to play on. If you log on through a client you want to type in http://www.dl2.net for the domain name and then port 23 or 4000 either one. The login screen simply says that LOGIN: here just type the word "new" and it will walk you through the rest. If you have any questions or if this was terribly confusing just put them up here. I have gone through the character creation process, but when I get to the menu to log in, i hit the 'e' key and it dosn't do anything. it just keeps me at the menu. all the other menu options work except the one to enter the game. Please. help, i would really like to check this mud out.

If you have gone through character creation two things: 1. does it stay at that intial screen? if so then you may have accidentally hit 'n' at the end of character creation. The very last question is do you want to keep this character. here you should hit 'y' or type yes. 2. when you have created a character and hit 'e' you then have to select which character you want to login in with (this is due to the fact that you can make more than one charcter) here just hit 1 since you should only have one character.
