As anyone who's logged into the game recently knows, I am now assisting with the maintenance and additions/changes to the code for DL. With this comes a lot of bugfixes. I need to know what bugs you guys have noticed, so that I can try to squash them before we do the DLDS to field test all the new stuff. Here's a few bugs I have on my little list already, but I need to know if any more exist!

o RP players can see non-RP greets
o RP players can see non-RP spellcasting
o Mobs sometimes wield/load 2H weapons in one hand
o Infamous door bug that makes doors close before all are through

In addition to the bug fixes, there's a LOT of new features, class balances, spells and skills. A good portion of it will be put in a post (and possibly the game's MOTD) when the DLDS comes up - that way you guys will hopefully give the new stuff a rigorous testing so we can work out all the kinks ;)

Ideas are ALWAYS welcome, so don't hesitate to post those too!

I'm not 100% positive on this but,
one time I was poisoned and mirrors
kept dying every 30 seconds or so..
I didn't realise what was happening
cause i didn't get hit by anything...
So it would seem i got poisoned by
mob hitting a mirror. And then mirrors
took the damage for me... just something
to look into. As I said it only happend
once long ago and I am bit hazy on it.

This is only a small thing I've noticed, it's not a major issue but I thought I'd mention it incase it occurs and has a bigger effect in other situations.

When you are riding a flying mount and type sky to go up (probably other named exits too), if you get your purple message indicating an improvement in riding skill at the same time, you basically stay where you are and you get the error message for a incorrect exit pop up i.e. there is no you are getting better at riding here.

As I say, just a small point, but others may have more of an issue with it so seems worth a mention.

Thanks,

Bannik.

Not sure if this has been considered and a final decision made by the staff, but it's worth bringing up in case it could be considered with the rest of the upcoming changes and balances:

Basically getting straight to the point - Barbarians can't use either the con or level flasks.
I have no barbarian character in the game, so this is from a completely neutral standpoint, but it seems like they're missing out on a real little gem here. I understand how their natural aversion to magic excludes them from ordinary potions (along with various other magical items) but it seems to me the flasks were probably initially created as a universal 'gimme' which anyone could potentially load anywhere in the world (regardless of their level, stats, equipment etc.) and use to benefit their character. It seems, therefore, a bit of a shame that only barbarians miss out on the thrill of actually finding and using these elusive little flasks.

Perhaps, even if barbarians couldn't physically drink them as part of class restrictions (and these could not be adjusted for this instance in terms of coding and game mechanics) maybe another way could be found such as perhaps allowing them to turn them into shaler who would then confer the level or con bonus - or even perhaps to tithe it to their deity? Just a couple of thoughts....

As I said, not sure if a final decision has already been made on this but personally I'd think it would be great if these flasks could be of the same usefulness and value to all within the game. They are a great concept and add a nice dimension to the game.

Thanks,

Bannik.
