Dirks

The dirk is a dagger-like weapon designed for piercing. They usually size up
to extend from the end of the fingertips to about three to four inches into
the upper arm on a normal-sized human. The blade is about 3/4 of the size of
the weapon, with the hilt being totally flush with the blade. This meaning that
there is no real distinguishable separation of the blade and the hilt unlike
most swords, which have a perpendicular guard-like construction between the
blade and the hilt.
